Who is Christian A. Guerrero

Christian is an Ecuadorian born, Brooklyn raised Filmmaker, Actor, and Musician… but don’t ask him to label himself. In his own words: “I just want to make my body and mind the consummate instrument of my spirit.” It seems that for Mr. Guerrero, passion is never in short supply.

He was the original frontman and lyricist of New Jersey Punk band Bedlight for BlueEYES. The band was signed to Trustkill/Universal starting in 2005 and toured with acts Paramore, Senses Fail, New Found Glory, A Static Lullaby, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, and more. BLFBE went on to play several festivals including Warped Tour, Taste of Chaos, and Skate and Surf, selling nearly 300k records and reaching over 1 million combined streams on Spotify largely thanks to Christian’s piano cover of Third Eye Blind’s “Jumper”. The cover of jumper was recorded for Fearless Records compilation “Punk Goes 90’s”. The album would see other notable acts performing covers of 90s hits including Gym Class Heroes, Plain White T’s, Mae, and Scary Kids Scaring Kids. Christian’s song “Hindsight” was placed in an episode of Showtime’s Masters of Horror in 2005, and that compilation sold over 50k units. The band would reunite briefly for a fundraising event in response to the tragic death of a close friend of the band.

While living in Philadelphia, Christian was hand picked by Director Stephen Caple Jr. to play a small role in the continuation of Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky anthology, Creed 2. This tiny role set Christian down a new path that would change the course of his life. Focusing intensely on his acting training, Christian attended the legendary William Esper Studio under Suzanne Esper. He would go on to play speaking roles on the Orange is the New Black, Blue Bloods, John Wick III, Shazam, and most recently POWER Book III: Raising Kanan.

During the pandemic, Christian found a way to cope by losing himself in the art of film and cinematography. Forever a devoted photographer, with his indoctrination into acting, it was now the moving image that fascinated him. Legendary cinematographers like Roger Deakins, Rodrigo Prieto, Rob Richardson, Robert Elswit, and Gregg Toland would, through their films, lay a remarkable framework for Christian’s education in the art of painting with light and telling a truthful story. Christian was so engrossed in the pursuit that in late 2020 he started his own indie production Studio and called it CAGmedia. Currently CAGmedia has produced and shot a short film in Sparta, NJ, photographs a growing list of elite clients in New York City, and is currently writing and developing several scripts and pilots.

When not focused on creative pursuits, Christian is an avid runner and weight lifter. A dedicated martial artist, (Boxing, Brazilian JiuJitsu, Tang Soo Do), Christian has had the pleasure of working with some of New York’s finest Stunt Coordinators.

Through it all he remains profoundly grateful to his stalwart fans for staying with him through the years, showering him with support and praise in all the incarnations of his creative output. They remind him daily, that you don’t have to be blood to be family.
